Nomni Marketing (Liven Engage) is the email, SMS and automation platform for Nomni venues. Your customers from Nomni POS, their Nomni Loyalty points and, if you sell them, their Brandollars flow into it automatically. That means you can send campaigns and automated journeys based on what your customers actually do: when they last visited, how much they spend, what they order and which store they go to.
What's included
Your own Liven Engage account. Nomni creates it for your brand and sends you a login link. Your data is kept separate from every other business.
Automatic customer sync from Nomni POS. New and edited customers, and Nomni Loyalty points changes, sync within minutes. Spend, visit and product details update once a day.
Email campaigns with a drag-and-drop designer, templates, personalisation and A/B (split) testing.
Automations such as welcome, birthday, win-back and points reminders that run on their own.
Sign-up forms for your website, QR codes and social links.
SMS as an optional add-on.
Segments built on real behaviour, such as last visit, total spend, membership level, favourite products and store visited.
Reports on opens, clicks, unsubscribes and bounces.
Support from Nomni. We look after everything in your account, including setup, billing, plan changes and cancellations.
Before you start
You'll need: - access to your Nomni POS Back Office as an owner or admin - access to the DNS settings for the domain you'll send email from (for example GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Crazy Domains or VentraIP), or the person who manages it - your logo, brand colours and your business's physical address (it goes in every email footer) - a rough idea of how you've collected marketing permission from your customers
Step by step
Log in. Use the login link and details Nomni sent you, and set your own password. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication straight away.
Check your account settings. Make sure your time zone and business address are correct, so scheduled sends go out at the right local time and your footer is right.
Connect Nomni POS. See Connect Nomni POS to Nomni Marketing (Liven Engage). You'll copy your API URL and key into the POS Back Office, then press Sync Contacts once to bring in your existing customers.
Check your customers arrived. See Check that your customer sync is working.
Authenticate your sending domain. See Set up and authenticate your sending domain. This is the single biggest thing you can do to stay out of spam folders.
Organise your audience. Create a few lists, tags and segments. See Lists, tags and segments for hospitality.
Build and test your first email. Send a real test to a small internal list. See Create and send an email campaign.
Warm up your sending. For your first few weeks, send to your most engaged customers first and grow the audience gradually.
Turn on your first automations, like a welcome email, a birthday offer and a win-back. See Build automations for your venue.
Most venues are sending within one to two weeks. The step that usually takes longest is adding DNS records for your domain.
Good habits from day one
Give everyone on your team their own login rather than sharing one.
Only email people who agreed to hear from you, and never remove the unsubscribe link.
Keep your staff and test contacts tagged so you can exclude them from real sends.
Check your reports after each send and clean out addresses that bounce.
