Use this check after you first connect Nomni POS, after changing your API key, or whenever you think customers aren't coming through.
1. Check your existing customers arrived
In Liven Engage, open Contacts.
Open the All Contacts list. The number should be close to the number of customers in Nomni POS who have a valid email. It won't match exactly, because customers without a valid email are skipped and customers sharing an email become one contact.
Open a few contacts and check they have fields such as Member Code, Reward Points and Registered On.
If the list is empty or much smaller than expected an hour after clicking Sync Contacts, see Troubleshooting: customers aren't syncing.
2. Test a new customer (within minutes)
In Nomni POS or the Back Office, create a test customer with an email you can recognise, for example
yourname+enginetest@yourvenue.com.au.Wait about five minutes.
In Liven Engage, search Contacts for that email. The contact should be there, on the All Contacts list, with their Member Code.
Tag the test contact
INT_Staffso it's left out of real campaigns.
3. Test a points change (within minutes)
Give the test customer some Nomni Loyalty points, or make a small test sale that earns points.
After a few minutes, open the contact again. Reward Points and Points Earned In Last 5 Transactions should have updated.
4. Check spend and visits (next day)
Spend, visit, store and product fields update once a day, early morning (Sydney time). The day after your test sale, check Last Sale Activity, Visit Count and Product Name on the test contact.
5. Check the Last Sync column
In the POS Back Office, open Customers. The Liven Engage Last Sync column shows when each customer last synced, in your business's time zone. Blank means the customer hasn't synced yet.
6. If you use Brandollars or a venue app
Brandollars: buy a small Brandollars package with a test account. Current Wallet Balance and Last Package Purchased Timestamp should fill in on that contact.
Venue app: sign up in your app with a new test email and tick the marketing checkbox. The contact should appear with Consent set to
True. Open the app again and check you're not asked the question a second time.
