Give everyone on your team their own login. It's more secure, you can see who did what, and you can remove someone's access without changing everyone's password.
Add a user
You need to be in the Admin group to do this. 1. Click Settings (the gear icon) > Users and Groups. 2. Click Add a new user. 3. Enter their name and email. 4. Choose their group. The group decides what they can see and do. 5. Turn on multi-factor authentication to require a code from their phone when they sign in (recommended). 6. Click Add user. They'll get an email to set their password.
Each user can belong to one group.
Groups and permissions
Permissions are set on the group, not the individual. Every account has an Admin group with full access.
To create a group: 1. Go to Settings > Users and Groups and open the Groups tab. 2. Click Add a new group. 3. Info: give it a name and description, and choose which lists the group can see. Group members only see contacts on those lists. 4. Permissions: tick what the group can do in each area, such as lists, campaigns, forms, templates, contacts, automations and reports. 5. Limits (optional): cap how many emails, contacts, lists or campaigns the group can send or add in a period. 6. Save.
Some settings are always admin-only, including sending domain and advanced settings, addresses, integrations, the SMS manager, users and groups, and billing.
Example groups for a venue
Group | Typical access |
Admin | Everything, including settings and users |
Marketing | Campaigns, automations, forms, templates, contacts and reports. No user management |
Designer | Templates and campaigns, but can't send |
Venue manager | Reports and contacts only, limited to their venue's lists |
Plan limits
Your plan includes a set number of users. If you need more seats, contact us.
Keep your account secure
Require multi-factor authentication for every user.
Remove people as soon as they leave your business: Settings > Users and Groups, then delete their user. Before you do, check their API key isn't the one connecting Nomni POS (see Connect Nomni POS to Nomni Marketing). If it is, set up the connection with another admin's key first.
Never share passwords or your API key by email or chat, including with us.
Your account owner
The main admin login was set up by Nomni when your account was created. If it needs to change, for example because the owner has left, contact us. We'll confirm you're authorised to manage the business's account before we make changes.
