Forms let people join your list from your website, a QR code at the counter or on a table, or a link in your social media bio.
Form styles
Style | What it looks like | Good for |
Inline | Sits inside a page | A "Join our club" section on your website. Can collect extra fields such as Date of Birth |
Floating box | A small box in the corner of the page | A gentle prompt on every page |
Modal | A pop-up in the middle of the screen | A strong offer, such as a free coffee for joining |
Floating box and modal forms collect name, email and phone. Use an inline form if you need more fields.
Create a form
Go to Website > Forms and click Create a form (or start from scratch).
Name the form and choose a style.
Choose the action Subscribe to a list and pick the list. Optionally add a tag such as
SRC_WebsiteFormso you know where people came from.Add fields: email (required), first name and, if you'd like to send birthday offers, Date of Birth.
Decide on confirmation: - Double opt-in (on by default): people get an email and must click to confirm. It keeps fake and mistyped addresses off your list. Until they confirm, they show as Unconfirmed. - Single opt-in: people are added straight away. Turn double opt-in off in the form's subscribe action if you prefer this.
Edit the thank-you message, or send people to a page on your website after they sign up.
Style the form with your colours and fonts, then save.
Put it on your website
Open the form and click Integrate.
Choose how to publish it: - Simple embed: a short code snippet that always shows the latest version of the form. Paste it into your website builder's "code" or "embed" block (Squarespace, Wix and WordPress all have one). You can also paste the Simple embed into a code block in Nomnie Studio if you want the form on a page in your venue app. - Full embed: the full form code, if your web developer wants to restyle it. - Link: a hosted page you can share in social bios, emails or turn into a QR code.
Publish your website page and test the form with your own email.
Tips
Tell people what they'll get: "Join for a free coffee on your birthday."
Use one form per source so you can see which works best.
Add a welcome automation triggered by the form or the list, so new subscribers hear from you straight away.
People who join through a form aren't Nomni Loyalty members until they sign up at your venue or in your venue app. Because contacts are matched by email, if they later join with the same email, their loyalty details are added to the same contact.
Collecting SMS consent needs its own wording. See Send SMS from Nomni Marketing (Liven Engage).
