Why Nomni Insights numbers don't match Nomni POS or Console reports

The common, normal reasons totals differ, and what to send us if they still don't match

Quick answer: Insights adds up your sales overnight by day, in each venue's local time, using the filters you pick. Nomni POS and Console reports work from live data and can treat refunds, filters and dates differently. Check the date range, the filters, refunds and today's date first.

Check these first

  1. Same dates and venues. Check the date filter and Store Name match the POS or Console report.

  2. Filters. Sales Overview can leave out some order types, payment methods, order sources or credit-account sales. Clear any filters you don't need.

  3. Today's sales. Insights refreshes overnight. Today's trading usually appears the next morning.

  4. Refunds. Insights counts a refund on the day it was made, not the day of the original sale. A refund made the next day moves money between days.

  5. Venue time. Insights counts each day in the venue's local time. A shift report that runs past midnight can split differently.

  6. Cancelled and archived items. Product reports leave out cancelled and archived items. Some POS screens still show them.

  7. Brandollars. On POS invoices, Brandollar payments show as a loyalty payment. Nomni Loyalty reports use the loyalty records, so loyalty totals can differ from POS tender totals.

  8. Older invoices. The invoice detail reports start from 1 January 2025.

Still doesn't match?

Send us the venue, the report name, the date range and filters, a screenshot from Insights and from Nomni POS or Console, and the invoice numbers you think are missing or different.
