LVN is Liven's very own Digital Currency and is the fuel which drives the Liven network.

LVN is rewarded to users whenever they transact with Liven at no extra cost. Even when you use LVN to pay you earn LVN. 

LVN can be:

  1. Donated to Liven's Partner Charities

  2. Tipped to Liven Merchants / Venues

  3. Gifted to friends

  4. Spent as a payment method

  5. Stored indefinitely for future use

Here's how to use LVN.

Tip the Venue & Donate to Charity with LVN

Immediately upon receiving LVN and before leaving feedback on your experience, you will are able to use part or all of your LVN to:

  1. Tip the venue

  2. Donate to Liven's Charity Partners or,

  3. Leave it to store in your Liven (LVN) Wallet for future use

To donate or tip, tap 'donate or tip' on your rewards screen.

Any LVN you don't donate or tip will be stored in the Liven (LVN) Wallet for future use.

Paying with LVN

LVN is accepted at all Liven Merchant Partners as a valid payment method. This means LVN you earn for eating burgers in the city, can be used for wine on the river.

This also means using LVN to pay instead of debiting your card.

To use LVN to pay:

  1. Open the merchant's venue page on Liven

  2. Toggle "Use LVN Coin" ON

  3. Tap "Pay Now"

If "Use LVN Coin" is on, this means your LVN balance will be debited before your cards are charged any amount.

Storing LVN for Future Use & Sending it to Friends

The Liven (LVN) Wallet stores your LVN by default, and it will sit there indefinitely where it can be sent to friends and soon, be withdrawn from Liven  - stay tuned!

Also remember that your LVN can be used as a payment method at any Liven Merchant.

Sending LVN to friends

LVN can be instantly sent for free to others in the network with using their unique Liven @username handle. 

This is done from the Liven (LVN) Wallet:

  1. Navigate to your in-app Liven (LVN) Wallet

  2. Tap 'Send'

  3. Input their username and the amount to send

  4. Tap 'Send'
